Harassment commences against leaders of the opposition

(LA HABANA, CUBA, January 9, 2002) - The political police of the regime in La Habana, commenced harassing opposition leaders of the internal dissidence.

On the 2nd of this month, at 6:00 pm, an official of the Department of State Security known as Gabriel, stated that they had information that “Cúcalo and Leonardo Bruzón, had an end of the year dinner where heads of the contra-revolution were invited and that they were incited to continue in the work against the government", in addition, the also had information about something being prepared for the 28th of January (commemoration of birthdate of Jose Marti, Apostle of Cuba) and that they will not allow it.
