Adolecent makes denouncement from Combinado Guantánamo Prison  

(GUANTANAMO, CUBA, December 31, 2001) - Denouncement is made from the prison known as "Combinado Guantánamo" by the 17 year old adolescent, Alberto Martínez Martínez, who will be tried for the supposed crime of leaving the country illegally.

In his denouncement, the minor stated that the food is poorly cooked, that at 6:30 AM they are given a little bit of sugar water, at 11:00 AM they are given 2 - 3 oz. of rice with salt water and at 4:00 PM, salt water with rice.  He also states that you could easily count the number of ribs on many of the prisoners.

Many prisoners complain of the lack of nutrition, being that their families do not have enough food to take them in prison.  The adolescent denounces before the international public opinion this abuse committed by the Castro regime.
